3 Ways to Boost Your Self Esteem

We all know that dreaded feeling, of waking up and not knowing what to wear, what to do, because nothing fits anymore and everything looks wrong. You look in the mirror and you stare back at yourself and just sigh and think “Gosh, this is going to take forever”
Take a load off ladies, this happens to the best of us. We all have these days, the trick is to take a deep breath and know it will be ok. Here are some simple tips I like to do to help me move forward and feel better about myself.
Tip 1:
Feeling a little bulgy, maybe a little rounded? Well do yourself a favour, make sure you do a super good exfoliation in the shower and take all those dead skin cells off that beautiful body and apply some self-tan with the help of a helpful Tanning Mitt, so those cute hands of yours don’t get stained and reveal your dirty little secret later. Make sure you apply it well and evenly to avoid any lines and while you’re doing that make sure you give your face a good exfoliation too (and no, not with your extra rough hand exfoliation mitt), with a good face dermafoliant preferably a natural one. Maybe pluck those eye brows a little, come on you know you need to.
I find this browning technique works every time. I feel I am at least 2 kilograms lighter and feel totally balanced and radiant.
Tip 2:
Don’t have time to apply makeup every morning? Well you don’t have to think of it as a long process which involves all the products in your drawer. As long as you have a great face moisturiser (I personally use theCream Face), a good colour foundation (mineral I find breathes better and can be used straight after a facial or peel), and a cheeky pink blush, which I love as I use this to apply on my cheek bones to create a higher defined cheek bone and I apply this very same blush… wait for it – on my EYE LID (yup, no need to apply eye shadow ladies. Already that is 1 step you have erased from your makeup routine). Then I seriously, seriously suggest you powder your eye brows with a nice medium brown colour eye brow powder with a slanted brush, this ladies, brings out your eyes and your face (picture how plain Mona Lisa looked, it’s because she had no eye brows ..eek). Lastly, your wonderful friend, the mascara (again you want a natural mascara so it won’t irritate your eyes).
I must say I hardly ever leave my house without wearing makeup. I feel it gives me that extra boost of self-confidence and esteem. Plus I love how quick and easy it is once you have a little routine going.
If you are really, really pressed for time, throw your mascara and some lip gloss in your bag and apply those two in the car (while you wait at the traffic light or for the bus). Put lip gloss on your lips but add a tickle to your finger, then dab your finger on your eye lid and rub it in there; the extra gloss shimmer adds to the mascara finish, if you can and have; throw in a little facial mineral powder if you really need a little cover… but you would be shocked to see the difference with just mascara and lip gloss….
Tip 3:
No time to do your hair? After all this “me-time” you don’t have enough time to style your hair, don’t panic. Create a simple up-style (preferably to clean washed hair), give yourself a slight bit of volume by teasing your roots just on the top T of your head and up it goes away from your beautiful face and slap on some pretty earrings to detract from any hair mess that might be sticking out. If you have a fringe don’t despair- do a quick wash of your fringe in the basin with a little shampoo only, then dry and ghd; the sleek clean perfect fringe will detract from almost anything happening in the back; it will be assumed you meant to have the “messy look” at the back, or you can tie it in a ballerina bun.
I must be honest, I don’t always have time to straighten my hair in the morning, but I sure do love being able to put it up in that classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s style we all love.
